SIT WEST’S ROBOTICS CLUB CONTINUED WITH CIRCUIT DESIGNING

The Robotics class conducted by the coordinators for students of 1st year from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm on 21st Nov 2018 in the SIT West’s Robotics room. In the Robotics class they learnt
about Arduino code and circuit designing based on Arduino UNO.

They learnt about 5 circuits designing named Blinking, Fading, Button, Knight rider and For loop iteration of LED. Application of Knight Rider is Automotive, Instrumentation, Medical electronics, Alarm systems etc. Fading LED lights circuit can be used in security application to alert something & in cars as indications with some changes. LED blinking circuit can be used in signaling purpose and as flashing beam. In the Robotics class, students were divided in 3 groups and one coordinator in each group to guide them.

A FANTASTIC PRESENTATION BY THE FIRST YEAR STUDENTS

Nov 2018, students of the first year presented their presentation individually. Each students selected one topic of his/her own choice for presentation. The topics were related to environment, technology and social issue. Students, with confidence and clarity, presented their message. one of the student gave presentation on AI (Artificial Intelligence). In this presentation, the main focus was on AI impressive application, with remarkable benefits for humanity, but there are notable unanswered questions with social, political or ethical facts. The main concerned focus on technological unemployment, while equally important issues arises regarding potential applications of AI, Access to data and output of AI models, during question and answer session an interesting questions arose by the other students that “What the difference between General machine and an Artificial intelligence?” One of the student gave exact answer of this, the answer was “A general machine do specific task for it is programmed or designed but an AI systems learn by analyzing huge volumes of data and they keep adapting to continuous modeling of interaction data and user feedback”.

STUDENT’S CORNER

If I die in a war zone; box me up and send me home.
Put my medals on my chest; tell my mom I did my best.
Tell my dad not to bow; he won’t get tension from me now.
Tell my brother to study perfectly; the keys to my bike will be his permanently.
Tell my sis not to be upset; her bro will not rise after this sunset.
Tell my love not to cry; coz I’m a soldier born to die.
